It shows in Maxima the realization of three long years ofwork... Lights, the name of the collateral exhibition that will house the gallery until June 11, presents a list of five contemporary Cuban artists: Rafael Villares, Juan Suárez Blanco, Jorge López Pardo, Douglas Pérez and Irving Vera.

The framework of the Havana Biennial has been chosen for an exhibition that reveals the work of these creators and gives them great visibility in the wide circuit of art that fosters the event.

The gallery also presents a busy program that will take place during the Biennial. It contemplates two types of fundamental activities: community works and presentations on the creative future of the artists in the show.

Caridad Blanco, the curator, refers in the words to the exhibition catalogue: "The maxims are those lights that manage to illuminate ways of living and founding, of proceeding and acting, of exchanging and coexisting. (...) Seen in this way, they can also be assessed as an indispensable circumstance for artistic growths such as those that come together here.
