When the clock strikes 10:00 a.m. next Saturday, December 28, the space of Maxima Gallery-Studio will open its doors to several children from two residences for children without parental care, in the municipalities of Diez de Octubre and Guanabacoa.
For them there will be participation games, different surprises and, in a special way, they will be able to give free rein to their imagination with the use of colors, paper and the artists' guide from our catalogue.
Maxima, located in Monserrate Street, on the corner of Tejadillo, is not only a space dedicated to promoting what is most valuable and shines in contemporary Cuban art, but also, from its beginnings, it was conceived with a community profile aimed at encouraging, in the youngest, a taste for island art. It is our sand gratin to the new generations.
Working so that children have a pleasant experience with paintings, sculptures and installations made by prestigious creators from Cuba, is a principle that distinguishes our social object.
For the second time, the children return to the Gallery-Studio to infect us with their joy, for the second time they will remain in our thoughts. Meetings of this kind will be repeated countless times, since for them the doors will never close.
