Alberto Lago's solo exhibition, The Great Awakening, organized by Maxima Gallery, reaches its closing time, after a month available on the online platform Artseps.

With nearly 600 views and twelve works on display, the exhibition is a fascinating journey through the color and pictorial intentions of its protagonist, Alberto Lago. The creator from the abstract and figurative leaves a powerful message of happiness, to make us remember, as species in this dreamlike world, the value of positive feelings. The intention of Maxima and of the artist himself during the time of social confinement in Cuba and in the world, has been to offer lights and destinations of joy, from art.

Circles, happy faces, emoticons, together with fluorescent tonalities trace in The Great Awakening an impressive and seductive path. A kind of "new feeling", a good vibe provoked by Lago's works. It is easy to get into his landscapes, ideal to rest from the mental noise of the daily routine.

The pieces in the exhibition have hypnotic power. It is a visual game thought by the artist to, through heterogeneous forms, go through other creative paths. Pink, yellow, green, green, black or blue take on renewing identities, capable of establishing links with mystical forms of the universe, which have always remained with that air of spirituality necessary and vital for man.

On the closing day of the exhibition, Alberto Lago, as a son of his time, offers words of hope for the immediate present and tomorrow: "I want to send a message about our time. The man of the future does not believe in ideologies, borders, races or religion. All these tendencies are illusory constructions that have been created to divide and enslave the world".

"Man is equal to his fellow man and with equal rights, he has the right to his free will. Today, more than ever, a collective consciousness is being built based on the connection with the spiritual, nature and the universe, our challenge is to contribute to achieve such performance based on respect, tolerance, peace and love", concluded the artist.
